About Me

I grew up in Valemount BC, a small mountain village and still live here with my family.  I love backpacking, my garden, all things outdoors and food.  Not many things make me happier than cooking for my family with food that I grew myself.

So why food?

I felt terrible for years and no one could figure it out. I hid it well but inside I felt defeated and frustrated.

I was constantly aware of how I was feeling, potential triggers and what I would do if it hit.

The anxiety of when and if I would be taken out by my symptoms was a lot.

Always ready, always with a plan.

Registered Nutritional Therapist Amy Pawliuk Wild Wellness

I dealt with random nausea, exercise induced migraines and an overwhelmingly gross feeling that was inconsistent and unpredictable but made it impossible to function normally when it showed up.

My labs all looked good, I was told I was ‘healthy’ but my body was telling me otherwise.

I avoided many social outings or hikes with new people because I didn’t know when it would hit and take me out. (I think it came across as being snobby, but really I was afraid.)  It was embarrassing, I did not want to be a burden.

I saw a few different specialists and not one doctor asked about what I ate.

I am also stubborn and found many of my own answers through food.

I was undereating for what I was expecting of my body without knowing it.

I was commonly eating foods that my body was reacting to without knowing it.

I was dealing with reactive hypoglycemia (very low blood sugar) without knowing it.

After I addressed these issues, one at a time, I felt better and better.

I no longer deal with ANY of those symptoms, and I have energy to enjoy the things I love to do again.

It feels so amazing to trust that my body won't betray me.

If your body is telling you that something isn’t right, please to listen to it.

Not everyone has the ability or desire to sort things out for themselves and this was a driving force behind getting my diploma in holistic nutrition and becoming a Registered Nutritional Therapist. I have been in practice since fall of 2019 and I am a proud member of the Canadian Association of Natural Nutrition Partitioners.  I additionally hold a nutrition and mindset coaching certificate from A&E Coaching.  â€‹

I know that figuring out what to do and staying consistent can feel overwhelming—especially with all the conflicting advice out there. That’s where I come in.

If you are looking for a practitioner that will take your concerns seriously and support and guide you through the steps on your path, I am here for you. I absolutely love helping people to feel better in a way that is realistic and maintainable.

I believe in building a solid foundation of health, that your body only has what you give it to work with and that small steps add up to make a big difference.

Food changed my life and it can change yours too.

You deserve to feel good.  I can help you get there.

Love,

Amy
