Healthy Eats

Taco Soup
Family Favorite right here, get the kids in the kitchen helping or hand over the reins and let them do it all them selves.

This is one I used to make with the kids at Girl Guide Camp when i was a leader.

Chicken Apple Breakfast Sausage
Make and freeze for an easy way to add protein to breakfast, snack or any time. They are super handy to throw in lunches when you forgot to plan ahead!

Or make and freeze raw (very thinly) to cook as needed fresh.

Curried Squash Soup
This one is hearty and delicious as is, a very thick soup, it dehydrates well for backpacking or easy storage to use as an 'instant' soup.

Apple Crisp with Coconut and Hemp Hearts
A lower glycemic load dessert option. Not low carb, but with the added fats, fiber and protein from the coconut and hemp hearts you won't get as large of a blood sugar spike from it.

One Pan Italian Chicken and Veggies
Why dirty more dishes?

This one pan dish is great for meal prep or a simple weeknight dinner.

Teriyaki Steak, Edamame &Quinoa Bowl
This is perfect for intentional left overs!

Cook once and eat for days, this recipe stores well to take for lunches later in the week.

Chocolate Banana Cookies
These kid approved gluten free 'cookies' are a crowd pleaser!
Suitable for a snack or a quick on the run breakfast these freeze well and are easy to keep on hand.

Balanced Breakfast Smoothie
Smoothies can very easily be a sugar bomb!

By keeping it well balanced you will avoid the spike and crash while still enjoying the convenience and delicious nutrition packed inside.

Burrito Bowl Mason Jar
Delicious and packable this lunch won't let you down or make you feel like you need a nap!

Remember, dump it into another dish to eat it. Trying to eat directly from the jar is challenging.

Squash Lentil Chili
This vegan chili is tastier than it sounds, promise. Perfect for a 'chili' fall day.

Buffalo Chicken Salad
The flavors of your favorite wings, in a salad. Did someone say yummy meal prep?

Turkey Vegetable Soup
Fall screams soup. Make the most of those thanksgiving or Christmas leftovers!

Blueberry Banana Bread
This easy to make gluten free snack bread takes a traditional banana bread and makes it a bit healthier.

This twist is great for people who love stuffing with turkey dinner but want to keep it gluten free or lower carb.

Coconut Macaroons
Coconut is great for your guts! It helps to feed the good bacteria while helping to keep the bad guys under control!

These easy to make gluten free cookies are great to send in lunches or as a snack on the trail.

Low Glycemic Load Breakfast Porridge
This low glycemic load porridge option will keep you full without spiking your blood sugar. Just as good as an evening snack as it is for breakfast.

Roasted Butternut Squash Harvest Bowl
Colorful and delicious meal in a bowl.

This gluten free, vegan bowl can be adjusted to include whatever you have on hand and makes excellent leftovers.

Add chicken or tofu for a higher protein option.

Vegan White Bean and Lemon,
Kale soup
Simple and delicious allergy friendly soup.

This soup is one of my favorites, I like to add cooked quinoa or brown rice to my bowl to make it a heartier meal and a complete protein.

Purple Pickles!
My kids named these. Easy to make, crowd pleasing fermented veg to help support your gut.

Protein Packed Egg Cups
These are prefect for breakfast meal prep. They keep well in the fridge and freeze well.
They are the perfect make ahead grab and breakfast for busy mornings.
