Food is more than the nutrients it provides or not. It is not all or none, black or white, good or bad.
Food can be a massive source of pleasure and joy. That in itself is valuable.
Many people have a very ‘all or nothing’ approach. When in reality that is very restrictive and a ‘most of the time’ approach offers more opportunities enjoyment, and compassion for ourselves.
While this cinnamon bun isn’t very nutrient dense I will not say that it not healthy.
I enjoyed making them.
I enjoyed sharing them with people. (I love to feed people lol)
I thoroughly enjoyed eating them!
Happy is healthy.
Happy strengthens you’re immune system.
Happy allows your sympathetic nervous system a much needed rest. (That’s the fight or flight response we live in WAY too often)
Obviously if ALL I ate was cinnamon buns that would then be unhealthy. But a ‘healthy’ life has wiggle room.
