Before working with Amy, I didn't have anyone holding me accountable or providing options for change. I felt like I had to do diet fads or change my lifestyle 100% overnight. Which didn't work for me as it left me feeling overwhelmed and defeated when it didn't work. I worked with a nutritionist about 12 years ago. She told me to stop eating certain foods, but didn't explain why and didn't provide enough detail on how to eat differently. I was hungry ALL THE TIME and know now that I wasn't getting enough protein or other nutrients. I stopped working with her after a month because I couldn't function. Amy has helped me so much with my IBS-C... Like a lot. It is really nice to have the guidance of a specialist, and some one to hold you accountable. It was what I was missing. First you have to want to change, she's not cooking your food or meal prepping for you. It's hard work and you should be self motivated. You need to want it.
